Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist or PTA to join our team. The position is PRN, Part Time OR Full time! The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and home health environments. The Physical Therapist Assistant will assist in implementing treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, and ensuring the highest standards of care.
Responsibilities
Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Provide therapeutic interventions such as exercises, manual therapy, and trigger point therapy.
Monitor and document patient progress during treatment sessions.
Educate patients and their families on care plans, exercises, and home health strategies.
Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care post-treatment.
Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and progress notes using medical terminology.
Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients during therapy sessions.
Experience
Knowledge of physiology and anatomy is essential for effective patient care.
Experience in various settings such as inpatient, outpatient, or home health is preferred.
Familiarity with discharge planning processes and care plan development is a plus.
Proficiency in medical terminology to communicate effectively within the healthcare team.
Previous experience with trigger point therapy techniques is advantageous but not required.
